Airedale

Airedale
The Airedale dog breed was set apart from other breeds in the 16th century in England. This dog is crossbreed of the black terrier and otter hound. The goal of the breeders at this time was to come with a dog that was both small and suited to hunting rodents.
In the beginning, this dog was often referred by the name “water terrier”. This is because it was very well adapted to water and therefore had very many skills for hunting ducks. More recently, it started being used as a guard. It is also currently being used as a rescue and as a defense dog.
